Christina’s lab team got accepted into the CSIRO On Program!

In her own words:

“This is a government initiative to accelerate startups – we got in for a biomedical invention we are developing.“

While we had a launch delay of 5 days post due date – After 24 hours of labor, I brought this 8lb 3oz little baby into this world. These next few days and weeks will be a blur, but man this is a cool experience. I covered the labor process on my @thespacemom account for those interested (check my "labor" highlight) First there was Rosalind Franklin and Rosie the Riveter, and my late Aunt Rose who left what little money she had only to the nieces in my family (and nothing to the nephews) because in her day, women had to financially rely on men and couldn't pursue their own dreams, so she wanted to give us the financial freedom to do what we wanted. (A savage move, but holy cow I respect her boldness). Now there's Rose Kimberly Franklin, my sweet perfect little girl who looks just like her dad.

There are so many amazing women in tech, and their work (as well as personal achievements) needs to be supported and celebrated as it’s not only about the individual person – it inspires and empowers us as a group! Join me next Tuesday for more uplifting stories, or share your own and be an inspiration to others ?
