Vivian is teaching for the first time!

In her own words:

“I just finished teaching for the first time the basics in programming with C to a girl who is new into software development. I used cooking references to explain basic concepts in C and I want to create a blog post about it 😀 She is taking an exam tomorrow on C language at her Uni and I wish her the best of luck!”

Marie finished her studies in Web Development!

In her own words:

“I just graduated – that’s the first official degree I got since I dropped out of school as a teen. It was literally a jump in the cold water like I didn’t know what to expect. The most ‘badass thing’ I could do on the computer probably was the shortcut of cmd + c…. now, two years later programming became my job, my hobby, my passion. And I’m more than proud that I accomplished that and found something I really love to do!”

Eden got promoted to no longer being considered “junior”!

In her own words:

“I haven’t considered myself “junior” for some time now. But it’s a big milestone that my company no longer considers me to be “junior” also. I’ve worked so hard and grown so much over the past few years, so it feels really great to have that be recognized.”

Today was an exciting milestone for me. I’m officially no longer a *junior* developer 🥳 It’s hard to even put into words how I’m feeling. Less than 3 years ago I knew absolutely nothing about programming. But I dove in head first, worked my butt 🍑 off, and never looked back. So thankful to my family, friends, mentors, and coworkers who’ve supported me and helped get me to this point. Excited for this new chapter to bring more confidence and growth, and less imposter syndrome and stress. Feels like the right occasion to say a new, junior-less “hello world” 💻 . . . . . #computerscience #womenintech #girlswhocode #telaviv #womeninstem #webdeveloper #softwareengineering #worldcode #programming #codergirl #startuplife #thedevlife #engineeringlife #ilooklikeanengineer #shemeansbusiness #techlife #diversityintech #steminist #womenwhocode #codingbootcamp #techblog #dev_girls #backenddeveloper #builtbygirls #developerslife

Today is my birthday!! Yay!! 🎉⁣ ⁣ I’m usually not really happy to age but this year I’m pretty excited about it! 😂 ⁣ ⁣ My favorite question to ask strangers is: how old do you think i am? 😂⁣ ⁣ My plan for today is to get some work done this morning and then I’ll meet my mom and we will go shopping. After that I’m going to the restaurant with both my parents (yay for separated parents getting together haha) and my childhood friend ❤️⁣ ⁣ So today is a great day! I have so much work to do but something that definitely changed in the past months is that I now make much more time to enjoy life than I used to… ⁣ ⁣ A lot of people asks me how do I work so much, etc… I realized that I was probably working +60 hours per week at some point. A little bit too much 😅 I was just working from 9am to 11pm every day, even on the weekend. I would take 1 evening off per week… It’s life when you’re a content creator and studying or working full time though, we need to always be creating content… 😬⁣ ⁣ Anyway, I’m taking more time for myself now and it feels great! ❤️⁣ ⁣ Have a good day! 👊
