Jennifer celebrated her 30th birthday!
Happy Birthday, Jennifer! We all hope you’ve had a wonderful celebration 🥰 May this year bring you fulfilment, joy and take you to the next level on all accounts!
CHAPTER 30!!!!!! 🌻 IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! I'm so thankful for all that the 20s have taught me about who I am, the gifts I carry, the "flaws" I have learnt to love, the journey in tech that I am only just beginning & I'm thankful for every one of you for supporting & uplifting me in the good times & bad. I tried to have a 30th Birthday Photoshoot for myself to mark it. Hope you like the BTS of the fun I had by myself. (You have to learn to love your company and I definitely do!) Here's to Freaking 30….during lockdown! 😷🥰 • • #MyFutureIsTech #ADHD #Neurodivergent #Neurodiversity #WomenWhoCode #WomenInTechnology #WomenInTech #GirlsWhoCode #BlackWomenInTech #LearnToCode #SoftwareEngineer #BlackEngineers #BlackInTech

Holly won the Women in Channel Rising Star 2020!
Congratulations, Holly! “barrier-busting role model” describes you perfectly, this is so well deserved, you absolute badass!
Started the day feeling really positive and feeling like today was going to be a good day… DAMN did it deliver!! ⠀ ➡️ Dev: I made awesome progress on my feature. I hit all my goals for the day and have just a bit of UI polish to do tomorrow before it's PR ready. 👩💻⠀ ⠀ I also started writing documentation for the wiki I am championing across the team. 🖋 I have wanted to start for the last couple days so it feels good to have made more progress. ⠀ ➡️ Advocacy: Spoke on a panel with @whitehatgb about Building the Workforce of the Future. 🎤 Such a fascinating conversation with the other panelists. ⠀ ⠀ Shared a Microsoft Principal Software Engineering Manager role on the Search and Intelligence team to my network to work (if you think you would be a good fit, DM me). 💪 I was asked by our a lead on our sister team! ⠀ 🌟 PLUSSSSSS, won the Women in Channel Rising Star 2020 award!! 🤩🎉 I am so honored to have been nominated! The judges said I was a "barrier busting role model". ⠀ ⠀ Hah days like this just remind me about what I love about my role in tech. It's the combination of my dev and advocacy work that brings me real fulfillment in my role. ⠀ ⠀ Start your day off on the right foot! It makes the whole day better 💜

✨ This is an awesome trend on Twitter, so I figured I would go ahead and bring it over to Instagram! So many of use are #BreakingTechStereotypes every single day! How are you breaking stereotypes? Here are mine: 🌟 I’m a black software engineer. 🌟 I’ve owned a cupcake business. 🌟 I failed my first Data Structures course in college. 🌟 There are currently no green squares on my Github.
