December 8: Women in Tech Weekly Issue 88

Welcome to yet another issue of Women in Tech Weekly! 🥰

This is the first one that has been automatically created – well almost. I’ve automated submission formatting and still need to tweak the form to optimise the results. I’ll also adjust certain graphics/layouts to make the process smoother. It’s been a great learning process so far, I’ll definitely write a post about it sometime!

If you’d like to submit anything for next week’s issue, please do so using the submission form at the bottom of this post.

Learning how to code is a challenge and requires a lot of trial and error – which means that our confidence may suffer. So here are some exercises that will help you reflect on what you’re learning and your progress, helping you build confidence!

Resources 👩‍💻

Kajal says:

One of the challenges of learning robotics is the cost of hardware. Even with microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, you still have to buy motors and sensors. Coming from India, I know how the cost can add up and be a deterrent to learning robotics. A solution to this is free open source software like Webots and ROS. I create youtube videos on how to use Webots to get started with Robotics. This tutorial series is designed for beginners and doesn’t require prior knowledge of Robotics.

Sam says:

It helps understand product/project life cycle and help integrate and understand what the job is about in tech industry

Making money while you sleep may sound like a crazy dream, but for some bloggers, it’s very much a reality. Let’s talk about how you can also generate passive income with a blog.
